Some Original Sketches from Don

Don McCullough has always been phenomenal illustrator and artist, and everybody back in college knew him. I miss hanging out with him also flipping his sketchbook pages and blown away and inspired, just like back in the day.
He gave me some of his original sketches (again) when I saw him few days ago :) He just ripped the pages off from his sketchbook before I had to go.
He signed it. "Love, Don"

He drew me saying "Don forever" -_____-
The hand-made-printed envelope that he put those sketches in so I could carry them back home safely. And he sneaked in a poster of amazingly done image of Hellboy by Mignola :) Thank you so much, man! In the mean time of seeing Don's artwork at gallery shows, check out some of his art on his blog.

The student films from 181C class is being screened tomorrow evening! This event is purely non-profit and just for final of a class purposes. The copyright characters (Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Batman, Jason Vorhees?) are copyrighted by the rightful owners.

I did these two posters, helping my screenwriters friends in our school. It's a very fun dark comedy feature script. The writer, Spencer Ballou, and JOey, who worked with the artists to set these posters up, already knew clearly what they wanted, so it was really fast working on these. And special thanks to Jackie Marion for her great tips on font. She's the professional graphic designer for real!
The screenwriter showcase was last night, where Spencer and other winners received their awards, and so did Aaron Sorkin, for a distinguished achievement in screenwriting. The special guest who introduced Mr. Sorkin was Armie Hammer, and the host was Mike Werb. He's a great host - very clever. Congrats to all the winners and award recipients. My friend and I had great time!

I did this for my Film Studies class, where we had to design costumes for two characters based on the script, and the biographies we wrote of them earlier in the quarter.
Blegh, the character drawings still look stiff! I basically did this for 1 night only, and I added some more stuff on the tear sheets for additional few hours. It was fun reading the scripts and trying to figure out which scenes I want to do, picking up and choosing the quotes.
It's so hard to design costume for these two very iconic characters and well-known, and Michael Kaplan just did real perfect job on the costume designs for this film! So many Tyler Durden's red leather jacket replicas being sold online now. So, I didn't make or create much changes just to make them really different.
