Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid study

The late Conrad Hall was a real genius cinematographer. This film was so beautifully shot. Last time I did the study for Road to Perdition that was the last feature film he shot.

A Beautiful Life

At super late last night I watched A Beautiful Life instead of sleeping. A good film about the goodness in people in a romance tale. Many of the visuals really caught me.

Thumbnails study I did for class and I picked Road to Perdition. I always wanted to study that movie and now finally I got the perfect excuse to get it done. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I suggest you to. The late Conrad Hall did an absolute beautiful cinematography work! with the great direction from Sam Mendes. It also has beautiful original score and sound design.

I did this for my Film Studies class, where we had to design costumes for two characters based on the script, and the biographies we wrote of them earlier in the quarter.
Blegh, the character drawings still look stiff! I basically did this for 1 night only, and I added some more stuff on the tear sheets for additional few hours. It was fun reading the scripts and trying to figure out which scenes I want to do, picking up and choosing the quotes.
It's so hard to design costume for these two very iconic characters and well-known, and Michael Kaplan just did real perfect job on the costume designs for this film! So many Tyler Durden's red leather jacket replicas being sold online now. So, I didn't make or create much changes just to make them really different.

Storyboard Study - Meeting John Doe

Storyboard study from one of my favorite movies, Se7en, directed by David Fincher.
This is the part when they're visiting John Doe's apartment. The shots are happen at the stairways and the 6th floor hallway of the apartment building. The following shot after is Mills shouting "The Fifth Floor" as he's getting down to the 5th floor.
I saw things I simply didn't notice before although I've watched it quite few times.
